CST NewsLetter

June - August 2024 Edition

In this edition, we bring you important updates and heartfelt reflections from the Community Support Team. Our featured message comes from Jay Jones, who has been deeply involved with the CSAA since 1996 and has played a vital role in the ongoing work related to unmarked burials at the former Shingwauk Indian Residential School. His message of truth, healing, and love highlights the critical work being done behind the scenes as we continue this difficult but essential journey together.

This edition also includes updates on recent initiatives and community events, such as the 1939 play and reading, our visit to Taykwa Tagamou, the Ontario Lead Communities Technical Staff Gathering, and a special feature on our plant medicine, dandelion. Plus, we share a new recipe book, Daisy’s Upjohn, full of meaningful dishes for our community.
